Celgene came through...

After initially being rejected because I have prescription coverage I received a call that my Revlimid would be delivered tomorrow. I can only assume that Dr. Goldman followed through with Celgene to confirm that my insurance was no longer covering it. So after a 6 week vacation I will resume my Revlimid tomorrow. Time to resume fighting the beast.

My cousin Larry and his wife Gail came up from Tennessee to visit yesterday. We had a nice visit with them and Uncle Bob, Aunt Bea and Sylvia. After lunch we went to visit Aunt Thelma in Rehab.

It is so nice to see you with family members! What is happening to Aunt Thelma? I hope that she is all right!

Hi Eve,
Brother-in-law Ken here. I am writing as an anonymous contributor here because I forgot my blog name.
Since my fusion operation Aug 23rd (L4-L5, L5-S1 ... spinal of course) I have really grown to appreciate the pain you have endured to be here today, which helps me to appreciate you all the more as well.
At 4:00 AM on Sept 9th I woke up with the most excruciating pain of my life, right where my incision is from the fusion. We worked at it for four and a half days, with pain killers, oral antibiotics and TLC to no avail. I went into the hospital the 13th to discover I had a steph infection and that didn't go over well, if you know what I mean.
Anyway, they put a Pick-line in me so I could come home and continue the 'iv' antibodies. The pain is still there because the infection is, but it has decreased 45-55% from what was.
I remember all too well that horrible pain you experienced a couple years ago; now I can emulate with it. I pray neither of us -- or anyone else for that matter, have to go through that again.
Much love, Ken.
