Since my last post I have finished all my pretesting for my SCT. I had an echo cardiogram, a pulmonary function test (PFT) , a chest x-ray, skeletal survey, teeth cleaning and oral exam and a bone marrow biopsy. In my youth I was 5'7". Now due to my compression fractures I am 5'3". This is pretty evident in the picture of me and Julie. We used to be almost the same height. This Wednesday I go to Karmanos to speak with Dr. Ayash. We will decide then when in Feb to do my SCT. In the meantime I am no longer receiving any Velcade or Cytoxin. I am looking forward to this new path my life is going to take. Please keep me in your prayers.

Along with prayers, I am aligning with your intention that the SCT goes well, better than expected even, and that 2011 is a great new year with improved health for you..for the highest and best good of all concerned - so be it and SO It IS!!! whoooooo!
Evelyn, not sure where I came across your blog. However, wanted to tell you, I was in renal failure and diagnosed with last stage MM in Dec of 2005. I had SCT in 2006, and though those first years were ugly...I am also five years since diagnosis and still doing good. I would love to follow you through your journey and will be wishing you well with the transplant. Counting my blessings....belknapsa@msn.com
